Ranji Trophy: Yash Dhull scores second successive century on debut
India's 2022 U-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull has entered the record books. Dhull has fired a second successive century on debut for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy. After hammering 113 runs from 150 balls in the first innings against Tamil Nadu, Dhull managed an unbeaten 113 in the second innings. The Elite Group H encounter in Guwahati ended in a draw.

Dhull joins an elite list
As per senior statistician Mohandas Menon, Dhull has now become the only third batsman to make a century in each innings (113 and 113*) on Ranji Trophy debut. He joins an elite list comprising of Nari Contractor (152 and 102*) for Gujarat in 1952-53 and Virag Awate (126 and 112) for Maharashtra in 2012-13.
Seventh Delhi batter to achieve this record
Dhull has also become the seventh player to score a century in each innings of a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi after MAK Pataudi, Surinder Khanna, Madan Lal, Ajay Sharma, Raman Lamba, and Rishabh Pant.
Twin centuries for Dhull on debut
Dhull hit 18 boundaries in the first innings, scoring 113 from 150 deliveries. He followed that up with an unbeaten 113 from 202 deliveries. He hit 14 fours and a six. Dhull is averaging 226.00 after his debut First Class match.
