Ranji Trophy 2024-25: All you need to know about quarter-finals
What's the story
After seven rounds of intense competition across four Elite groups, the league stage of the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy has come to an end. Eight teams have qualified for the quarterfinals.
Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Mumbai, Saurashtra, and Gujarat are the sides to have qualified for the tournament's last-eight stage.

Group leaders
Vidarbha and Saurashtra secure top spots in groups
Mumbai, the defending champions, made it to the knockouts after beating Meghalaya. They will be joined by J&K from Group A.
Vidarbha, last season's runners-up, topped Group B in the last round. They will now host Tamil Nadu in the quarterfinals.
Saurashtra also bounced back strongly to seal their place from Group D.
These teams have been exceptional throughout the league stage of Ranji Trophy 2024/25 and will enjoy home advantage in their upcoming matches.

A look at quarter-finals schedule
The 2024/25 Ranji Trophy quarter-finals will be played between February 8 and 12, 2025.
The first match will witness J&K taking on Kerala at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Vidarbha will host Tamil Nadu at the VCA Stadium, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
Haryana will take on Mumbai at the Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Lahli, while Saurashtra will clash against Gujarat at the Niranjan Shah Stadium, Rajkot.

Goa, Nagalnad reach Elite Groups
In the Plate Group, Goa and Nagaland reached the finals and would be promoted to the Elite Groups next season. However, Meghalaya and Bihar will move to the plate division after languishing at the bottom of their combined group tally.

What about semi-finals?
The first semi-final will see winners of Quarter-final 1 and 4 square off. Meanwhile, winners of Q2 and Q3 will lock horns in the second semi-final. Both semi-finals will start on February 17.
