Manchester City thrash Swansea 4-0
Manchester City are running away with the Premier League title after a perfect performance against struggling Swansea at the Liberty Stadium. Despite the hectic holiday schedule, City players are in full song as they were rampant in front of goal against the Swans. A brace from Silva and a goal each from Aguero and De Bruyne sealed the 4-0 victory for Guardiola 's men.
City set new Premier League record with 15 wins
The blue half of Manchester have set a new record of 15 consecutive wins in the English Premier League, overtaking Arsenal's 14-game winning run between February and August 2002. Pep Guardiola's men are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season. Their only blip in their near perfect record so far has been the 1-1 draw against Everton in August.
Silva and De Bruyne call the shots
David Silva has been in red hot form. The Spaniard has been involved in 13 Premier League goals in 17 games this season, that is already more than the entire last season. Kevin De Bruyne has also been key to City's success. The Belgian has been involved in 13 goals in his last 14 Premier League games, scoring five and assisting 8.
Is the title race over?
Guardiola made four changes in the triumphant side against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, but they ensured they maintained their 11 point lead over their neighbours at the top of their table. Manchester City with 52 goals in 17 Premier League games are currently at 49 points, with United next on 38 and champions Chelsea on third with 35.
