Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings at home in match number 43 of the 2018 IPL. Riding on a stunning 95* from Jos Buttler, Royals won the game by four wickets. The hosts chased down the target of 177 runs with one ball to spare. With this victory, Rajasthan have kept their chances alive of qualifying for the play-offs. Here is the match report.
Buttler shows his lethal power
This was the Englishman's fourth half-century in a row. The opening position has done wonders for him. Prior to this knock, he had hit scores of 67, 51 and 82. This innings showed his maturity as he stayed till the end for the Royals.
Dhoni continues to show his magic
Dhoni continued to weave his magic in IPL 2018. He, once again, claimed the number 1 spot in terms of most number of sixes hit this season (28) as he overtook Rishabh Pant. He has amassed 393 runs this term and is in line to break his personal record of most runs scored in a single season (461 achieved in 2013).
Raina deserves a special mention
Suresh Raina smashed a 35-ball 52 which helped CSK get to the total of 176. In a season, where he has been fighting with Virat Kohli to be the highest scorer of IPL, his fifty helped him topple the RCB skipper. Raina has 4,853 runs and leads Kohli by 39 runs. This was his 34th fifty of his IPL career.
Archer continues his good work
Jofra Archer was handy for RR. His spell of 2/42 helped him to take his tally to 11 wickets in six matches. He has been the highest wicket-taker for RR in IPL 2018. His wicket of the in-form Ambati Rayudu was a key moment.
