India's 2022 U-19 World Cup star Raj Bawa has earned an Indian Premier League (IPL) ticket. He was the star performer for India in the U-19 World Cup final versus England. Bawa has been bought by Punjab Kings for a staggering Rs. 2 crore. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals roped in U-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull for Rs. 50 lakh a few moments earlier.
Bawa scripted history in the U-19 WC final
Bawa claimed 5/31 and has become the first Indian to take a five-wicket haul in an ICC event final. It's also the best figure ever in the U-19 World Cup final. Bawa finished the 2022 U-19 World Cup with nine wickets at 16.66. Meanwhile, Ravi Kumar (4/34) claimed his best figures as well. He finished the tournament with 10 scalps at 13.20.

Bawa also highlighted his batting skills by amassing 252 runs in five innings in the U-19 World Cup. He slammed a sensational 162*-run knock as well. Bawa averaged 63 in the tournament and had a strike rate of 100.80.
