Rahul Dravid officially inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame
Legendary Indian cricketer and former captain, Rahul Dravid, has been officially inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame by another legend and former inductee, Sunil Gavaskar. Rahul became the fifth Indian cricketer to be bestowed with this honor. Bishan Singh Bedi, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Anil Kumble are the other Indian inductees. The announcement of Dravid's induction was made on July 2, 2018.
One of the greatest Test batsmen of all time
Rahul Dravid is widely regarded as one of the greatest Test batsmen of all time. He played 164 Test matches and scored 13,288 runs. His top score is 270 and his average of 52.31 is a testimony to his consistency in the longest format of the game. He was always considered the 'Wall' of the batting line-up, around whom the others built their innings.
The Wall is bringing up a batch of youngsters
Currently, Dravid is the coach of U-19 and India A teams. He is imbibing his ethics in the youngsters- patience, dedication, calmness. He is finding players who can make historic contributions to cricket. Rahul is the symbol of the classical batsman, his shots were orthodox, his resilience was unparalleled, and his commitment ever-brimming for the team. The youngsters are lucky to have him.

"It's a matter of great honor to be named by the ICC in the Cricket Hall of Fame. To find your name in a list of all-time greats across generations is something one only dreams of while setting out on a cricket career," said Dravid.
