A closer look at Shah's dismissal
The unusual dismissal took place during the ninth over of the match.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Shah's teammate, hit a shot down the ground which Ngidi attempted to intercept.
The ball deflected off Ngidi's arm and onto Shah's left shoulder before hitting the stumps.
Unfortunately for Shah, he had strayed too far from his crease and was unable to return in time, resulting in his run out after scoring just one run off six balls.

Match highlights
Gurbaz's valiant effort and South Africa's victory
Despite Shah's dismissal, Gurbaz put up a strong performance for Afghanistan, scoring 89 runs off 94 balls.
However, his efforts were not enough to secure a win for the hosts.
South Africa successfully chased down the target of 170 runs in just 33 overs.
The victory was largely due to an unbeaten partnership of 90 runs between Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs, with Markram contributing 69 off 67 balls and Stubbs adding another 26 in his tally of runs.
