Rachin Ravindra owns these stellar feats in ODI cricket
What's the story
New Zealand's left-handed batter Rachin Ravindra starred in his side's triumph against Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy Group A clash on Monday.
His brilliant knock of 112 runs off 105 balls, including 12 boundaries and a six, saw the Black Caps chase down a target of 237 with 23 balls to spare.
The win also confirmed New Zealand's berth in the tournament's semi-finals.

Records
Record-breaking journey to 1,000 ODI runs
Ravindra's brilliant show against Bangladesh also witnessed him breaking a few records.
He became the fifth-fastest New Zealander to score 1,000 runs in Men's ODIs, doing so in his 26th innings.
With a strike-rate of 109.62, he now sits second among New Zealand batters with 1,000 or more runs in Men's ODIs.
He is only behind Luke Ronchi, who had a strike rate of 111.66.

Highest score for NZ batter in a CT run chase
Ravindra's century also created new records in the Champions Trophy.
His score of 112 is the third-highest individual score for New Zealand in the tournament and the highest by a Kiwi batter in a CT run-chase.
It must be noted that the game against the Tigers marked Ravindra's CT debut.
His latest heroics made Ravindra the first NZ batter to slam four hundreds in ICC ODI events.
WC
Ravindra shares this feat with Williamson
Ravindra owns the joint-most runs by a NZ batter in a single ODI World Cup edition.
The southpaw smashed a whopping 578 runs in the 2023 competition at 64.22.
Ravindra shares this record with the talismanic Kane Williamson, who also smashed as many runs in the 2019 event.
Notably, the 2023 WC marked Ravindra's maiden apperance in an ICC event.

Most runs in a maiden World Cup edition
Ravindra also owns the most runs by a batter in their maiden WC edition.
He went past England's Jonny Bairstow, who scored 532 runs in 2019. No other batter has 500-plus runs in this regard.
Meanwhile, Ravindra smashed three tons besides two fifties in the event.
No other NZ batter has more than two hundreds in his entire ODI WC career.
Tendulkar
Most runs in a World Cup edition before turning 25
Ravindra, who was named after Indian cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, broke a massive record of one of his idols.
Tendulkar was the highest run-scorer of World Cup 1996. He smashed 523 runs at 87.16.
Ravindra overtook Tendulkar by scoring 578 runs in the 2023 tournament.
The former now has the most runs in a WC event before turning 25.
Feat
A historic ton on WC debut
During the 2023 WC opener (against England), Ravindra, at 23 years and 321 days, became the youngest NZ player to score a WC century.
He broke the record of former batter Nathan Astle, who did so at 24 years and 152 days.
Meanwhile, Ravindra is now the only batter to smoke tons in each of his WC and CT debut.
