Here's what Rabada said about Bumrah and Archer's rise
Two fast bowlers in the form of India's Jasprit Bumrah and England's Jofra Archer have been making headlines of late, courtesy their lethal bowling. However, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada seems to be unmoved by their recent rise, as he feels that the media has the tendency to hype certain players. Here's what he said regarding their rise and domination.
Rabada admires Bumrah and Archer a lot
Rabada said that while he admires and has tremendous respect for bowlers like Bumrah and Archer, the media has the tendency to hype a certain amount of players. He also said that both these pacers would inspire him to lift his game. "You are not always at the top, that's one thing I can tell you," Rabada was quoted as saying to iol.co.za.
"I want to be the best in the world"
"I've learned that there are a lot of ups and downs. I want to be the best in the world, everybody does. You are naturally going to compete in that fashion, I'm not too worried, I'm feeling nice and easy," Rabada added.
Rabada disappointed with South Africa's ICC World Cup 2019 stint
While Rabada said that he was certainly disappointed with South Africa's woeful campaign in the ICC World Cup 2019, he was not angry, as he looks to work harder. "When a setback comes you want to be determined, you don't want to change a lot of things. It's about seeing where you went wrong and then, putting in extra work," he said further.
Rabada looks forward to deliver again in India
South Africa eye Test success in India, besides T20I domination
While South Africa would look to dominate in the same manner in the T20Is as the last time, it would certainly be an uphill task, especially following India's 3-0 domination against the Windies, recently. However, it would be the Test series, which the Proteas would be eyeing. Their last series win came in India in 2000, where they registered a 2-0 clean sweep.
