Sai Kishore bounces back after injury
Sai Kishore will be next representing Team B in the Duleep Trophy. His competition will be against experienced spinners like Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, he credited his intensive pre-season training for his heightened confidence. Despite suffering a minor injury during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Kishore has made a strong comeback. He took five wickets in the 2024 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).
Sai Kishore's exploits in IPL
Sai Kishore also proved his mettle during IPL 2024, playing for the Gujarat Titans. He was the pick of GT's bowlers in Match 37 against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. Skipper Sai Kishore was pivotal to Tamil Nadu's success in the 2023/24 Ranji Trophy campaign. Although TN lost to eventual champions Mumbai in the semi-final, Sai Kishore stood out. He finished as the only bowler with over 50 wickets in the 2023/24 tournament. The TN spinner bagged 53 wickets from nine matches at an incredible average of 18.52.
