Indian pace attack top notch, claims de Kock
South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock has stated that the Indian pace attack is one of the best in the world in Test cricket. India toured South Africa earlier this year and the fast bowlers enjoyed their time bowling against the Proteas batsmen. According to reports, de Kock has given thumbs up to the Indian quartet and said they were difficult to face.
'England tour for India will be a good contest'
India will be playing against England away in a five-Test match series and de Kock feels the contest will be tight. The wicket-keeper batsman cited that the Indian pacers were consistent against the Proteas and that in turn will see England struggle against them. Terming the bowlers as one of the hardest to face, the series promises to be a classic battle.
When Indian bowlers impressed in South Africa
The visitors lost the 3-match series 1-2, but notably the Indian bowlers picked up all the 60 wickets. The four pacers shined in South Africa claiming 47 out of them. Shami led the attack with 15 wickets and was backed by Bhuvneshwar (10), Ishant Sharma (8) and Bumrah (14). The same attack is expected to shine against England as Virat Kohli will seek 'revenge'.
Can India do well in England?
The last two Test series played between the two sides in England accounted for big losses for India. In 2011, India suffered a 0-4 hammering. In 2014, there was a another 1-3 loss in the hands of the English players. But this time there is hope for India to give a better account of themselves. They will take heart from the performance against SA.
India tour of England Test schedule
India open their Test account against England on August 1, 2018 at Edgbaston. The second Test starts from August 9 at Lord's. It will be followed by Test matches in Nottingham, Southampton and the Oval. The final Test is from September 7-11.
