PUBG PC event stands canceled due to critical error
PUBG, despite its popularity in the Battle Royale genre, is going through a rough and bug-riddled patch. Despite the ongoing 'FIX PUBG' campaign, the PC version has seen several issues, including server connectivity that forced PUBG Corp. to apologize by giving free in-game items. PUBG PC's recently announced 'Platoon Mode' now stands canceled due to critical failure. Read about it here.
A feeling of sick deja vu for PUBG Corp.
It is said that history repeats itself first as a tragedy and then as a farce. It appears to be true for PUBG Corp. whose first 50 player deathmatch, titled 'Desert Knights', was pulled from the game, as well, due to server issues.
The art of letting gamers down
The several issues are getting on gamers' nerves now. Its most recent 50v50 Platoon Mode, which had numerous players excited, now stands canceled. The event was supposed to appear this week. However, developers informed gamers that due to an unforeseen 'critical error', the event mode would not be re-appearing the next week either. It will return in-game 'at a later date' which remains unspecified.
Is it getting too late to apologize?
A bad experience for the Battle Royale fans
Naturally, the consecutive glitches in-game have left several gamers salty. They took to complaining that PUBG should fix bugs, which have remained since the beta version launched. Notably, with 'FIX PUBG' coming to an end in October, PUBG Corp. has a long way to go in addressing the game's several issues. If this trend continues, PUBG will likely lose its reputation and player base.
