#GamingBytes: Over 20 million gamers play PUBG Mobile daily
PUBG Mobile is one of the most played mobile games across platforms, right now. The 'Battle Royale' style of gaming has caught on and PUBG is acquiring massive number of users. Due to Tencent's regular updates with exciting additions, the game is growing from strength to strength. Recently, the game publishers announced that there now have 20 million daily active users.
What is drawing gamers to PUBG Mobile?
The obvious draw of gamers to PUBG Mobile has been compounded by Tencent, which keeps adding to the thrill by providing great support. The company updates it regularly, and its most recent update 0.8.0 included the Sanhok map, as well as numerous weapon, gear, and vehicular modifications. Notably, the update size is 1.5 GB on the Play Store and 2 GB on Apple Store.
The numbers do the talking
Tencent reported, in only six months, it is witnessing 20 million daily active users. Interestingly, these numbers don't include players from China, Japan, and Korea. In context, season 2 of PUBG saw 130 million players from across 200 countries. These gamers played it more than 850 million times. Notably, season 3 is still live, and has a new Royale Pass.
Never forget your roots
Despite PUBG Mobile's fantastic numbers, its PC users have slumped. The PC version used to pull an average of a million users daily. However, the day CoD's 'Blackout' released, the numbers fell by 40,000. This is, not surprising, as game-reviewers have dubbed Blackout a more polished version of PUBG. If PUBG wishes to draw equally fantastic numbers for PC, the game's bugs need fixing.
