PUBG Lite is launching in India: Know all about it
While PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular games in India, its PC version has a comparatively lesser number of players. The prime reason for this is the scarcity of high-end PCs in the country, with PUBG being a resource intensive game. To solve this problem, the company is soon launching PUBG Lite in India. Here is all we know about the announcement.
Similar gameplay, optimized graphics, free to play
PUBG Lite has almost all the qualities of its big brother but since it has optimized graphics and gameplay, it works well on low-end PCs. The best part of the game is that it is free to play (with in-game purchases). It is slated to release in India very soon. Notably, it is already available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brazil, and Bangladesh.
Here are the system requirements for PUBG Lite
You don't need a dedicated gaming PC to play PUBG Lite. Minimum system specifications required are Intel Core i3 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM, DirectX11 Intel HD Graphics 4000, and 4GB HDD space. To get the best experience, however, you need up to Intel Core i5 2.8Ghz processor, 8GB RAM, at least NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660/AMD Radeon HD 7870 and 4GB HDD space.
PUBG Lite will go the Fortnite way
Notably, PUBG PC can be bought from Steam at Rs. 999. However, as per reports, PUBG Lite will go the Fortnite way and require players to download and install a launcher first. While the game's launch date hasn't been officially announced yet, it would probably be available during the Steam sale around June 25. The game can be accessed using a VPN though.
The PC version of PUBG is revamping Erangel
PUBG PC is also revamping Erangel as players have been demanding a 'polished version' for a long time. With the upcoming visual update, the map will receive changed building styles and more realistic scenery. The game will soon have a fourth season that will bring a 'ledge grab' mechanic, a new amphibious vehicle BRDM and improved weapon mechanics with it.
PUBG Mobile is collaborating with Godzilla: The King of Monsters
In another development, a new mode of PUBG Mobile featuring Godzilla and other Kaiju is in the works and might launch with the upcoming update. PUBG Mobile will also have a new mode called Deathmatch where players will be able to respawn. Zombies like Tyrant, G, Licker, and Zombie Cop will be gone and new ones including zombie dogs will be introduced.
