#GamingBytes: Five tips for PUBG First Person Mode
PUBG enjoys a special place in the Battle Royale genre due to the tactical military approach it brings to the game. Notably, it offers players the option to play in Third Person or First Person Perspective, that is, TPP and FPP respectively. While the FPP is a more immersive and intense experience, the gameplay is slightly different. We bring five tips for PUBG FPP.
Jump your way to silent encounters
One of the important aspects of PUBG matches is sound. If you make a sound, you give away your position to enemies. In FPP, it is easy to bunny hop, a technique that Counter-Strike players might be familiar with. You move a bit and jump. Especially do this while turning corners. Timing your bunny hop correctly deprives enemies of vital information about your location.
You don't need anybody to lean on
Unlike TPP where you can use the ALT button to get a 360-degree view of the surroundings, the FPP only gives a 180-degree view. Since this prevents you from seeing around corners, take cover, use the Q and E button to lean. While the FPP increases your risk of being spotted it increases your chance of spotting enemies too, so keep your eyes peeled.
What do your two eyes see?
We are getting technical here. Once you shift to the FPP, you can go the settings and adjust the Field of View or FOV. While you have a 180-degree view by pressing ALT, you can adjust how much you take in at a time from your FOV settings. Set it to something you are comfortable and allows you to take in your surroundings accurately.
How to camp in buildings?
Building camping in FPP is easier as some awkward corners that enemies could shoot from in the TPP are absent in FPP. However, if you are shooting from a building, move away from the window to the middle of the room. This prevents your body from being seen and shot at and hides the flash and muzzle of your gun.
Play aggressively and shoot quickly
FPP mode requires much quicker reaction time, so as soon as you see an opponent don't hesitate to engage. Keep your reflexes sharp so you can shoot them quickly. Furthermore, while playing the FPP push for a more aggressive gamestyle, go for firefights, kills and press your opponents. Shooting is easier in FPP than TPP, with practice, so chances of surviving firefights are higher.
