#GamingBytes: Five tips to remember for PUBG firefights
PUBG or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is the most tactical Battle Royale available right now. While it is smart to try and avoid conflict, basing a win on looting and survival, sometimes a fight is unavoidable. These conflicts determine if you end up getting the coveted chicken dinner or not. We bring you five tips to remember for PUBG firefights.
Remember to reload in battle
Often during the heat of a fight, players forget to reload their weapons. If they run out of ammo at crucial moments, reloading takes time, during which opponents might knock you out or kill you. In firefights, immediately after you knock out an opponent, reload and then engage with others. Importantly, have enough ammo in your inventory to at least last you one conflict.
Don't stick to just one gun
PUBG allows players to carry more than one weapon and it is wise to remember that during firefights. Choose weapon combinations that complement each other and during battles, if you find yourself running out of bullets or need to change your firing style, quickly switch weapons. On this note, don't carry two weapons using the same ammo, and ensure both weapons have enough ammo.
Only the victor can have the spoils
During a fight, it is inevitable that some opponents will get knocked out or killed before others. Notably, this is only for duos and squads. After you kill an opponent, don't even think of looting, until you have eliminated all the existing threats. Amateurs often rush to loot the enemy they have just killed, only to be ambushed and killed by their squad-mates.
Stay in cover and heal often
It is highly unlikely that you will emerge from a fight completely unscathed. In case you're taking damage, always find cover and start healing. Don't wait until your health is critically low, because healing takes time, and opponents might outflank and kill you. Quickly heal while keeping watch, and try to stick to energy drinks and bandages since they can be applied much quicker.
No teammate left behind
Sometimes the firefights might not go your way. You might see a team-mate get knocked out, or your health could be critically low requiring time to heal. In these cases, throw a smoke bomb in areas where you need to revive or heal. PUBG smoke bombs will shield you for some time, buying a few precious moments. Heal, revive and return to the fight.
