#GamingBytes: Beware of these PUBG cheats
PUBG brings a different degree of intensity to the Battle Royale genre. As players are pitched against competitive opponents, all trying to win the chicken dinner, there will always be people who try shortcuts to success. The easiest way is to design cheats and hacks to get around the game. Some of the most popular hacks help with shooting and movement. Here's more.
Please report hackers when you see them
PUBG takes strict action against hackers, having banned over a million. The game's hack detection systems are also up to date and known hacks get players immediately banned. If you feel someone cheated and killed you, use the report button on the death screen.
A bullet with your name on it
The most infuriating hack on PUBG is aimbots. While some players are truly skilled to hit crazy shots, aimbots make it easy for cheaters. Essentially they take control of players' aim and the bullet always hits the enemy. Another type of aimbot makes players' guns fire automatically at an enemy if they are close by. However, the latter is easy to detect and report.
Aim true, shoot straight and never miss
A much subtler hack that helps players with shooting is recoil scripts. PUBG is notorious for its realistic shooting mechanism where players have to account for bullet drop and recoil. However, this cheat lets the gun automatically manage the recoil and fire. This is difficult to detect in-game, as the cheater might come across as a mere player who has mastered the recoil mechanism.
The speedster we all hate
One of the most detectable and amusing hacks PUBG players use, is the speed hack. This allows players to run at incredible speeds across the map, and as they meet players they can shoot them directly. While it negates the use of vehicles and helps them stay within the playzone, an even greater advantage is they can move faster than bullets.
The walls have eyes
This is one of the oldest usable hacks. I remember how irritating it was on Counter-Strike servers. It is as irritating in PUBG. Even if players are in cover, cheaters using these hacks can see their outlines, if nearby. This makes ambushing extremely easy. Wall hacks can also be modified to shoot through walls, but luckily we have not encountered it in PUBG, yet.
Where there is a will, there is a way
Since PUBG is strict with cheaters, cheats do not last long, but new ones always pop up. One of the notable cheats helped vehicles to fly and move faster. One hack allowed quick looting while another gave players extendable arms so they could shoot while in cover. Most notably, a lag hack, made other players' game lag, giving an undue advantage to the cheater.
