#GamingBytes: Know how PUBG Mobile is celebrating its first anniversary
The new season of PUBG has hit the stores and it brings a lot of changes and improvements to the game. There is a new Royale Pass season, new mode, weapons, vehicles, and more. Notably, PUBG Mobile is also observing its first anniversary, which it will celebrate with the players. Here is what all PUBG Mobile is doing to ring in its first anniversary.
Collect 'fireworks' and listen to Alan Walker's 'On My Way'
Anniversary celebration starts from the loading and title screens, where players can now play the PUBG Mobile theme song, 'On My Way' by Alan Walker, amid a concert-like atmosphere. Players can collect 'fireworks' and exchange them for in-game rewards. Special 'Birthday Crates' that give players 'Birthday Chickens' and a chance to get BP and Silver are available as well.
Anniversary lottery, carnival music, and 'delicious cake'
Spawn island now plays peppy carnival music, while players can hold birthday parties and collect randomly spawned cakes. The 0.11.5 update brings several anniversary goodies and an anniversary lottery, a lucky draw that can grant an Epic item, Legendary item, or a Mythic item. An 'anniversary supreme crate' is available that can give players a brand new vehicle till March 31.
Each map receives something, players can get Alan Walker merchandise
The oldest maps, Erangel and Miramar, finally get dynamic weather. Sanhok gets a new vehicle, The Tukshai, a three-wheeled bus that replaces other vehicles like the 4-seater Jeep, Dacia, and Mini Bus. Vikendi gets G36C Rifle (uses 5.56mm rounds, can be equipped with a stock) that replaces the SCAR-L in the snow map. Players can also get exclusive Alan Walker masks and T-Shirts.
PUBG Mobile offers subscription plans, tunes the Zombie mode
Starting April, two subscription plans will be available. Players can choose either a Prime or Prime Plus subscription. Tencent hasn't announced any pricing yet. With these plans, players can get up to 80% discounts on crates. Other stackable benefits include free UC, items, and RP points. Zombies in the 'Survive Till Dawn' mode are weaker and several other adjustments have been made as well.
