PUBG is the most intense Battle Royale game. Unlike some of its competition, where gameplay rests on building structures, looting, and killing, PUBG focuses only on the latter two. To win the chicken dinner, players need to choose the best weapons. Since PUBG allows players to carry two primary weapons, the combination of weapons becomes important. We bring you the five best weapon combos.
Our choice of weapon combinations
In our combinations, we have excluded weapons available at air drops. Our combinations have taken into factor the range of firefights- close, medium, long, extremely long. We have tried to provide weapon combinations that cover all these bases.
Together we stand, divided we fall
Individually, neither the UMP9 nor the SKS/SLR is really impressive. The latter two DMRS are rather difficult to master. However, together they make a great pair. The UMP9 might not be better than the Vector in SMGs, but the former requires lesser attachments and is almost as stable. It covers the low and mid ranges. Use SKS or SLR for long ranges.
Charred, scarred and ready to die
This is my squadmate's preferred combo. The SCAR-L and Kar98 spawn commonly in-game. The SCAR-L assault-rifle is lethal at close and mid ranges, with little recoil. The Kar98 requires some practice, but the bolt-action sniper is deadly for long ranges. Fit your sniper with a suppressor, and assault-rifle with a 3 or 4x scope, in case you want to switch guns and keep shooting.
Switch and shoot gameplay
The 'switch and shoot' technique is useful if one of the guns takes a longer reload-time between shots. If you hit an enemy with your Kar98 but didn't kill them, don't wait to reload before taking another shot. Switch to the SCAR-L and keep shooting.
The most stable choice
The M416A and Vector is an excellent combo. It covers mid, close and long ranges. The only downside is, both weapons need numerous attachments to perform at their best. Since finding all attachments takes time, it may be a while before gamers can exploit these guns to their full potential. On the upside, the Vector's high stability with almost zero recoil makes killing easy.
The beast in me is restricted by unavailability
This ranks over our Kar98-SCAR combo and would have topped this list too, if not for the M24's rarity. This sniper rifle was earlier only available through airdrops but now spawns in-game. With almost zero bullet drop, it is the most lethal sniper in-game. The M416A can serve as the secondary mid and close range weapon, where it can easily shred enemies to bits.
How I calm the tides of war
The Mini14-AKM combo tops the list for two reasons, I find it easiest to handle and both weapons spawn commonly. The Mini14, with an 8x scope and suppressor, is brilliant for sniping, though players might have to shoot repeatedly to get a kill. At medium ranges, it is lethal. The AKM at close and mid ranges can shred players if the recoil is mastered.
