In the month of May, Brazilian woman Najila Trindade accused Neymar of raping her in a hotel in Paris. During an interview with a Brazilian Tv channel, Najila firmly asserted that she was a victim of assault and rape by Neymar, accusing him of "aggression together with rape". As Neymar denied the allegations to the cops, Najila slammed the police, saying that they were corrupt. "The police are bought, aren't they? Or am I crazy?" he said to SBT channel during the interview.
