On Monday, Premier League club Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho after just 17 months in charge. The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss had replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs manager in November 2019 and guided the club to sixth in the Premier League last season. He claimed 44 wins, 19 draws and and 23 losses at a win percentage of 51.13. Since joining Porto, this is the first occasion where Mourinho didn't manage 100-plus games at a club.

Tottenham are set to play in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City this weekend. It would have given Mourinho a chance to win a trophy. He has won trophies prior to this with Porto, Chelsea (two different spells), Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. He won a staggering 25 trophies with the five clubs prior to managing Tottenham.
Points dropped: Unwanted numbers for Spurs under Mourinho
As per Opta, Only Brighton (31) and Southampton (30) dropped more points from winning positions in the Premier League during the period Mourinho was in charge at Tottenham (27). Interestingly, eleven of the 20 points dropped from winning positions this season have come from goals conceded in the final 10 minutes of matches.
Other notable stats registered under Mourinho's reign
As per Opta, during Mourinho's time at Tottenham, only Man City (130), Liverpool (117) and Manchester United (116) claimed more Premier League points than Spurs (95). Of all managers to take charge of 10 or more matches for Tottenham in the EPL, only Tim Sherwood (1.91), Mauricio Pochettino (1.89), Andre Villas-Boas (1.83) and Harry Redknapp (1.74) averaged more points per game than Mourinho (1.64).

Tottenham have lost 13 games in all competitions this season, which is the highest number of losses Jose Mourinho has suffered in a single campaign as a manager. He suffered 10 league defeats in a single campaign for the first time in his managerial career.

Tottenham ace Harry Kane has been involved in 62 goals in 62 appearances under Jose Mourinho (45 goals, 17 assists). He has netted 21 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League 2020-21 season (highest). Notably, he has 31 goals in all competitions this season. Son-Heung Min has 19 goals across competitions this season. He has 14 goals and 9 assists in EPL 2020-21.
Spurs' Premier League rise and fall in 2020-21
With a win against Arsenal in December, Spurs were top of the Premier League table. However, a 2-1 loss against Liverpool later that month saw them slip to second.
