Premier League: Gunners return to winning ways on Boxing Day
Olivier Giroud's 86th minute goal against West Bromwich Albion earned Arsenal a win after two back to back losses in the Premier League. Arsenal dominated the game with 80% of ball possession, but Ben Foster's brilliant saves denied couple of chances to Arsene Wenger's men. The Gunners also extended their 100% win record against the Baggies to 21 matches in Premier League.
Chelsea record 12th successive win as Hazard scores 50th goal
Chelsea continued to be on the number one spot at the Premier League after a 3-0 win over Bournemouth. Diego Coasta's replacement Pedro scored a stunning first half goal before Eden Hazard scored his 50th Premier League goal in the 49th minute. Chelsea are seven points ahead of Manchester City, who are on the second place with 39 points.
Crystal Palace draw 1-1 with Watford
Sam Allardyce's first game with Crystal Palace ended in a draw after Watford's scored the equalizer goal in the 71st minute. Earlier, Yohan Cabaye had scored a goal in the 26th minute of the game with an assist from Andros Townsend.
Manchester City climb to second spot after defeating Hull City
Manchester City were far from their best form against Hull City and could find success only in the final 20 minutes of the game. They won 3-0. Yaya Toure and Kelechi Iheanacho scored a goal each in 72nd and 78th minute, before Curtis Davies netted the ball in his own goal, giving Pep Gordia's men a victory in the game.
Everton adds misery to defending champions Leicester City
Everton registered a 2-0 win over defending champions Leicester City to climb to the seventh spot in the points table. Kevin Mirallas's 51st minute and Romelu Lukaku's stoppage time goal helped Everton win their second consecutive match at the Premier League.
Manchester United edge out Sunderland 3-1
Manchester United put on a late show against Sunderland with Henrikh Mkhitaryan netting a superb goal in 86th minute to win the match 3-1 at Old Trafford. Daley Blind and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a goal each in 39th and 86th minute respectively. Fabio Borini scored the only goal for Sunderland in extra time, but there was very little left for the visitors to do.
West Ham United crush Swansea City 4-1
West Ham United defeated Swansea City 4-1 at Liberty Stadium. Andre Ayew gave West Ham a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. Winston Reid doubled the lead with 50th-minute goal while Michail Antonio and Andy Carroll extended the lead in 78th and 90th minute respectively.
