Premier League, Liverpool down Leicester; 10-man Arsenal win: Records broken
Diogo Jota continued his fine form this season to help Liverpool down Leicester City 2-0 in the Premier League. Jota scored across each half as the Reds reduced Manchester City's lead to nine points, having a game in hand. On the other hand, Arsenal moved up to fifth, beating Wolves 1-0. Arsenal massive away win came despite them being reduced to 10 men.
Liverpool put two past Leicester
Liverpool scored the opening goal in the 34th minute after Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a corner, which Virgil van Dijk headed goalwards. Kasper Schmeichel managed to stop it, but the rebound fell to Jota, who tapped home. Jota netted the second after Joel Matip found him with a sound pass. Liverpool could have had more in the second half as Leicester faded away.

This was another good three points for Liverpool, who are expected to push City all the way for the league title this season. Jota has been sensational for the Reds and he has continued to chip in. Meanwhile, Arsenal leapfrogged Manchester United to go fifth as the race for the top four continues to intensify. Mikel Arteta will be pleased with the courage shown.
10-man Arsenal see off Wolves
In an eventful first half, Arsenal took the lead as defender Gabriel scored following a corner in the 25th minute. Wolves played well but went to half-time being a goal down. In the second half, forward Gabriel Martinelli was sent off following two yellow card offences. Wolves had a bright moment in the 83rd minute to equalize but Aaron Ramsdale denied them the same.
