Five clubs with the most number of Premier League goals
The Premier League is considered to be the most competitive club football league, not just in Europe, but across the globe. The competition is intense in the EPL, with a number of top clubs fighting in it, and the league never disappoints when it comes to goal-scoring. Here, we take a look at the clubs which have scored the most number of EPL goals.
The Spurs have no intentions to back down
We start the list with London's Tottenham Hotspur, which are placed fifth on the goal-scoring table. They have scored 1,563 goals till now. While they might be looking shaky this season, they are sure to implode in the coming seasons. Further, with several top players in the side like Harry Kane, they are set to dominate for quite some time hereon.
The Blues have dominated the league
The Blues, who have won the EPL five times, might not be in the best form, this season. However, they have been a force when it comes to scoring goals over the years, as they are placed fourth, having scored 1,793 goals so far. While Chelsea are considerably clear of Tottenham, they have intensified their rivalry in terms of goal-scoring with the Reds.
The Reds are placed third
The reigning European champions, Liverpool, are third on this list. Having scored 1,797 goals so far, The Reds are enjoying the form of this decade under Jurgen Klopp. With strikers like Mo Salah in their arsenal, their goal-scoring tally is bound to increase in the next couple of seasons. Notably, they are in hunt to win their maiden EPL title.
The Gunners lead the show
Moving to the so-called runners-up, Arsenal have scored 1,860 goals so far. They are 63 goals clear of The Reds and don't look in a vulnerable position, as of now. However, they are also way behind the current leaders and judging by their inconsistent performance over the years, they are not likely to catch up anytime soon.
The Red Devils are the undisputed leaders
It was on Sunday when Scott McTominay's opening goal against Norwich City handed Manchester United their 2,000th goal in the EPL. As they went on to score a couple more, their current tally is 2,002. They are significantly clear of The Gunners on the second spot, by 142 goals. While United too might not be a top force anymore, this goal-scoring record looks unbreakable.
