Table toppers Chelsea extended their lead as they defeated Southampton FC 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in London. Eden Hazard scored the opening goal for Chelsea before Oriol Romeu scored the equalizer. Gary Cahill gave Chelsea a lead at the end of the first half, with Diego Costa scoring two goals in the second half to win the match.

Chelsea seven points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur
With a win against Southampton, Chelsea are now seven points ahead of second placed Tottenham Hotspur. On the third place are Liverpool, followed by Manchester City and Manchester United. Manchester City are just one point ahead of Manchester United. Everton and Arsenal are placed sixth and seventh respectively, with West Bromwich Albion holding on to the eighth spot.
