Premier League's Team of the season
An exciting season of the English Premier League came to an end and Manchester City were crowned champions in a record-breaking campaign. The Sky Blues became the first side in Premier League history to reach the 100 point mark in a single term. So who were the top performing players this season? Here is our team of the season.
Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero
Golden boot winner Liverpool's Mohamed Salah will be our right forward after netting 32 goals this season. Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane will be our centre-forward. The Englishman reached the 30 goal mark for the first time this season. Manchester City's Sergio Aguero will be our left forward. The Argentine has scored 21 goals this season.
Kevin De Bryune, David Silva and Christian Eriksen
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has been phenomenal this season. The Belgian has bagged 16 assists while scoring 8 goals for the Sky Blues. David Silva has been his partner in crime with 11 assists and 9 goals. The duo have dominated midfield and have been the orchestrators of Manchester City's play. Erickson had a wonderful season with 10 goals and 10 assists.
Kyle Walker, Nicolás Otamendi, César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso
Otamendi has been a rock at the back for City and Walker proved why is the most expensive right-back in the world. Chelsea had a forgetful season but Azpilicueta and Alonso had a fantastic season in terms of goals and assists. Azpilicueta had 6 assists and 2 goals and had 80 tackles to his name while Alonso scored 7 goals and laid 2 assists.
David De Gea is our goalkeeper of the season
With 18 clean sheets, the Manchester United goalkeeper is the Golden Glove winner of the season. David also has 115 saves which quite a number comparing with his counterparts City's Ederson (58), Tottenham's Hugo Lloris (86) and Chelsea's Courtois (76).
