MITB: Analyzing how Becky Lynch's title defense could turn out
Ever since Becky Lynch became both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship, she has been facing a number of targets on her back. As of now, her prime targets are Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair, as she defends the titles. She would face both of them at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Let us analyze how her match could turn out at the event.
Becky makes Lacey tap out, she ambushes The Man
Becky is expected to win against Lacey, but things won't go so smooth. If Becky beats Lacey, things would become intense between the two and Lacey is likely to continue the brawl. It is possible that Lacey could attack Becky after the match and make her exhausted before her title defense against Charlotte. Things could also go the same way if Charlotte fights first.
Charlotte registers easy win
Following her brutal brawl against Lacey, Becky is likely to be completely exhausted. This could possibly mean that Charlotte would waste no time and start attacking Becky. After a severe beatdown, Charlotte could make Becky tap out, or register an easy pinfall win over her, thus making her a record nine-time women's champion. It could again be the same if Lacey fights Becky later.
Natalya costs Lacey the title
Given the circumstances, Lacey has become the number one contender, as she beat former champion Natalya in a brutal match. While Natalya is in the Money In The Bank match, if she fails to win the contract, she could cost Lacey her match and the title eventually. She feels that it is too early for Lacey to be getting a title opportunity.
Bayley costs Charlotte the title
Considering the angle of Charlotte, Becky was never in favor of her getting another shot and instead felt that someone like Bayley deserves an opportunity. While Bayley and Charlotte went head-to-head, it was the latter who came out on top. Thus, chances are Bayley could interfere in the match and cost Charlotte the title to set up a future feud between the two.
MITB winner crashes the party to win the championship
The winner of the MITB contract could also step into the scenario and decide to crash the party. Moreover, the referee would have no choice, but to put the contract holder in the match in case she decides to cash it in. Therefore, even if Becky overcomes the odds to beat both women, she could very well have a third target on her back.
