Mumbai Indians clinched a last-ball thriller against Kings XI Punjab in match number 24 of the Indian Premier League 2019. With this win, MI now sits on the third spot with eight points from six matches. Batting first, KXIP amassed 197/4 with KL Rahul smashing 100*. Hosts Mumbai got off to a poor start but Kieron Pollard's 83 off 31 sealed the deal.

Rahul slams maiden career IPL ton
KL Rahul is now the fourth centurion this season. He joins likes of Sanju Samson, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. This was Rahul's maiden IPL ton. He smashed six fours and six sixes in a 64-ball innings. Rahul has now amassed one ton and three fifties in the last five innings against MI. He also went past 150 fours in IPL (152).

Gayle and Rahul gave KXIP the perfect start as the side raced to 116 in the 13th over. From there on, MI hit back and reduced KXIP to 151/4. Rahul's heroics at the death saw the visitors get past 190-run mark. In reply, MI had a bad start as they were reduced to 94/4. Kieron Pollard took control as Mumbai went past the line.
