Liverpool vs Manchester City: Police to investigate the bus attack
British Police have launched an investigation to get hold of the culprits responsible for attacking the Manchester City team bus on the team's arrival at Anfield. Missiles and other objects were hurled at the bus prior to the Champions League quarter-final first leg tie, which City lost 0-3. City staff Manel Estiarte has posted footage of the attack on Instagram.

Fans' behavior unacceptable, says Police
Match commander superintendent stated that police were aware of the damages caused and have ensured an enquiry besides stating that the behavior by certain fans was unacceptable. It has also been reported that the bus was damaged to such an extent that City had to go back in a different vehicle. Both clubs' managers had condemned the attack earlier.
Football team bus attacks a regular phenomenon
Prior to this, many similar instances of team bus attacks have taken place. Real Madrid team bus was attacked in Barcelona (2010). Argentina national team found its bus attacked in Peru in 2014. The likes of Serbia and Togo national sides have also suffered attacks.
