#GamingBytes: New and 'uncapturable' Pokemon appears in Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go gamers are in for a surprise as a new Pokemon has started to appear. However, it does not show up on the Pokedex and cannot be registered. It was discovered by a data miner and first appeared in the Asia Pacific region, before showing up worldwide. It seems that the Pokemon cannot be captured either. Read about this mysterious Pokemon here.
Hello, we love you, won't you tell us your name?
The mysterious Pokemon first appeared at the end of the Chikorita community day. The three-hour event saw an increased spawn of the second generation Pokemon, Chikorita. After the conclusion, gamers saw the mysterious Pokemon appear, nearby, on their radar. However, attempts to capture turned it into a Ditto or Chikorita. Further, it would not register as seen or caught on the Pokedex.
The mystery intensifies with every report
The mysterious Pokemon soon began to expand beyond the Asia Pacific region and appeared worldwide. To further complicate matters, some gamers have reported sighting Kecleon instead of the new Pokemon. Notably, Kecleon is a level three Pokemon that has not yet appeared in the game. Any attempts to capture the Kecleon too turns it into a Ditto or Chikorita.
A hint of clear intent from Niantic
Most gamers had reasoned that the mystery Pokemon was some glitch. However, when the marketing head of Niantic tweeted about it, gamers began to theorize that they were teasing something new. The most popular theory is that this Pokemon is transferable from Pokemon Go to Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. The latter is a Pokemon RPG scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
