#GamingBytes: Eat pizzas to get Assassin's Creed Odyssey weapon
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the latest upcoming game in the popular Assassin's Creed franchise. Developer and publisher, Ubisoft, has tied up with frozen pizza product company, Totino's in a refreshingly wacky promotional stunt. This pizza-themed promotional activity will see the company give people in-game extras for purchasing Totino's products. As of now, this promotion is restricted to the US. Read about it here.
How can pizzas make you a better assassin?
In the US, buying pizza rolls and party pizza packs from Totino's gives codes which can be used to unlock temporary weapons and XP boosts in-game. The first code on the pack gives an XP boost. The second and third yield a Horn of Aries Sickle Sword and a Bighorn Bow respectively. Further, every code redeemed, up to 12 purchases give additional XP boost.
A special offer for 'assassins' shopping from Walmart
Apparently, Walmart shoppers of Totino's are in for some extra luck. They might get a fourth item that can't be found anywhere else. The heavy weapon, 'Ram Axe', is available as well, but only with the pack which has 120 pizza rolls. The promotional stunt will surely encourage serious gamers to switch to Totino's in hopes of unlocking the special items.
The special ones among the pizza boxes
Besides the items which Ubisoft is giving away, there are some specially marked Totino's boxes. These have codes that players can enter on a pizza-themed Assassin's Creed website, for a chance to win a copy of the game, an Xbox One X and other goodies.
