PCB offers students free entry for 2nd Test against Bangladesh
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a unique initiative to inspire the younger generation's interest in cricket. Students will be offered to watch the 2nd Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, starting August 30, for free. The match will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This move is part of PCB's efforts to provide students with an immersive experience of a live cricket match environment.
Eligibility criteria for free entry
To avail of the free entry offer, students must adhere to certain conditions set by the PCB. They are mandated to wear their school uniforms and carry a valid educational institution ID card at the gate. It is worth noting that the students will be granted access to VIP enclosures, subject to seat availability.
Free shuttle bus service
For easy access to the stadium, the PCB is also providing a free shuttle bus service on matchdays. This service aims to negate any logistical challenges for those traveling to the stadium.
Bangladesh lead the two-match series
Bangladesh currently lead the two-match Test series after winning the series opener in Rawalpindi. They won Pakistan for the first time in Test cricket. It was a high-scoring affair as Bangladesh posted 565 after Pakistan declared their first innings at 448/6. The home team struggled in the third innings and could only manage 146. Bangladesh comfortably accomplished the 30-run target. The 2nd Test is also scheduled at the same venue.
