Paulo Dybala tells fans how Cristiano Ronaldo is off camera
Cristiano Ronaldo is a man of several emotions when it comes to his performance on the field as well as in front of the camera. However, fans have always wondered how he is like when the cameras are not on him. In the same light, his Juventus team-mate Paulo Dybala revealed some interesting details, especially on how CR7 acts in the dressing room.
Cristiano is a simple guy, says Dybala
Speaking to local daily Corriere della Serra, Dybala opened up on his daily interactions with Ronaldo, where he admitted that he was shocked to see that CR7 is such a down to earth person. "No one imagined it, not even us. We thought it was just a newspaper headline. Seeing him up close, Cristiano is a simple guy," he said.
Ronaldo likes to joke with everyone
Speaking further on the topic, Dybala said, "He has his image, character and way of being on the field, but inside the dressing room he's like the others and he likes to joke with everyone."
Dybala not demotivated at Juventus following Ronaldo's arrival
Dybala was a prized asset for Juventus until the last season. However, the arrival of Ronaldo has somewhat pushed him down to a mid tier. Nonetheless, Dybala was unmoved by his current standing at the club. "The life of a player is like a roller-coaster: one day you're the best, the next you're useless. Finding a balance isn't always easy," he said.
Ronaldo off to steady start at Turin
As far as Ronaldo's performance with Juventus goes, it has been a steady one. He has, to date, played 39 games for the side, scoring 26 goals. His notable performance was during Champions League where he helped Juventus qualify for the quarters.
Dybala happy to be Number 10
Dybala also stated that it is an honor for him to wear the Number 10 jersey, since it is a huge responsibility. He said that he hard thought hard following the proposal, but found it hard to turn down, as it was his duty to prove that he deserved the honor. "We must find the courage to go beyond our limits," he concluded.
Juventus: The undisputed champions of Italy
Juventus continued their flawless run in Italy as they were, once again, crowned the champions, for the record 35th time. To top it, they also won the Supercoppa Italiana prior to the beginning of the season. However, they could not stand tall in the European competitions. They were knocked out of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League as Ajax overpowered them.
