What special request does Paras Khadka have for BCCI?
Nepal is one of the rising teams in world cricket and also has produced some top cricketers so far. Among many such players, Paras Khadka has made a name for himself, courtesy his fine gameplay, as he is also their highest run-scorer in ODIs and T20Is. While he looks to Nepal earning the status of Test cricket, he has a special request for BCCI.
Khadka urges BCCI to shift focus to Nepal cricket
Khadka claims that Nepal has been immensely influenced by Indian cricket, and backing by BCCI could help in improving Nepal cricket even further. "It would be brilliant if we get some sort of backing from them now. Our growth would immediately witness a spike. Now, with ODI status, I hope the BCCI can shift their eyes towards Nepal cricket," he exclusively told Times Now.

"All the channels here broadcast Indian cricket. Growing up it was all about India vs Pakistan in Sharjah. Watching the greats of Indian and world cricket in front of our televisions was a great boost. All these things have contributed to Nepal cricket," Khadka added.
Khadka feels Nepal could attain Test status within 8-10 years
Khadka also said that while playing Test cricket is a dream for him and Nepal cricket as a whole, a firm consistency could see them attaining Test status within 8-10 years. "One day, we will get the Test status, but we have to start today. Nepal has a massive fan following for the game. People want to support this team," he added.
Khadka backs Nepal to keep performing for global recognition
"We didn't have the best of facilities but we knew if we keep getting results on the field then the world will start noticing us. Now, we are an ODI and T20I playing nation and hopefully can become a Test side as well," Khadka continued.
Khadka has been a sensation for Nepal cricket
As for Khadka's career, he was a member of the side's first-ever ODI match, while he later went on to lead the side. It was under his captaincy, Nepal won a number of tournaments. He is also the first-ever Nepalese batsman to score a century in ODIs (January 2019 vs UAE) and T20Is (September 2019 vs Singapore). He plays as an all-rounder.
Some information about Nepal cricket
Nepal are currently an associate member of the ICC, since 1996, with ODI (March 2018) and T20I (April 2018) status. So far, Nepal have played six ODIs, with three wins and losses each. As for T20Is, they have played 28 matches, with 12 wins and 15 loses. While they are currently ranked 17th in ODIs, they are placed 12th in T20Is.
