ICC posts hilarious tweet to announce rescheduling of PAK-SL ODI
The much-awaited first ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Karachi was washed out on Friday due to heavy rains. As the met department forecasted further heavy rains over the course of the next two days, the second ODI on Sunday was rescheduled to Monday. Following the rescheduling, ICC sent out a hilarious tweet which has fans laughing, as we check it out.
ICC trolls fans with a hilarious question
Following the abandonment of the opening ODI, ICC posted a tweet informing the rescheduling of the second ODI. However, in the tweet, they also mentioned a hilarious question, asking, "Have you ever heard of rain so heavy it washes out a game two days away?"

"The decision has been made in order to allow the ground staff to prepare the Karachi National Stadium's outfield for next week's play, as heavy rains experienced during this week have left the outfield soggy," informed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a statement.
Decision taking after mutual agreement between PCB and SLC
Meanwhile, PCB Director Zakir Khan has said that the decision to reschedule the second ODI was taken following a mutual consultation and agreement between PCB and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). He also added by saying that due to the heavy unseasonal rains, which is set to continue over the course of the next two days, it has forced them to renew the series schedule.

Meanwhile, the ongoing Sri Lanka series is an initiative and a major step taken by PCB to revive international cricket in Pakistan. Since 2008, only four international sides have toured Pakistan, including Zimbabwe (2015), West Indies (2017), ICC World XI (2017) and Lanka (2019). The current tour, however, consists only of ODIs and T20Is, as PCB await the resumption of Test cricket in Pakistan.

International cricket in Pakistan has been hit badly since 2009, following the horrific terror attack on the touring Sri Lankan team. The attack saw seven Lankan players getting injured, along with assistant coach Paul Farbrace and umpire Ahsan Raza. The tour was immediately abandoned, while the tournaments involving international cricketers came to a standstill in Pakistan.
