Imran Tahir (2/41) raced to 39 career World Cup scalps. The veteran spinner became the highest wicket-taker for South Africa in the World Cup. He overcame former Proteas legend Allan Donald (38 wickets) in this process. Tahir also raced to 172 career ODI scalps. He also leads the show for the most wickets by a South Africa in CWC 19 (10).
Babar, Haris notch impressive feats
Babar Azam (69) slammed his second fifty in World Cup 2019. He leads the show for Pakistan with the bat in CWC 19 (232 runs). This was his 14th career ODI fifty. Babar became the second Pakistani batsman to surpass the 700-run mark in ODIs this year. Haris Sohail (89) slammed his 11th career ODI half-century. This was his maiden World Cup fifty.

Amir joins Archer, Starc for most wickets in CWC 19
Mohammad Amir now has the joint-highest wickets alongside Jofra Archer and Mitchell Starc in the 2019 World Cup (15). He also raced to 75 career ODI wickets. Meanwhile, spinner Shadab Khan notched a special feat in ODIs after reaching the 50-wicket mark (52).
A glimpse at some impressive individual feats
Hashim Amla took one catch and now has a tally of 87 in ODIs. He went past Martin Guptill (86). Faf du Plessis (63) struck his fifth ODI fifty in 2019 and a second in CWC 19. He also slammed his 34th career ODI fifty. Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq (44) and South Africa's Quinton de Kock (47) surpassed the 700-run mark this year in ODIs.
Pakistan score their highest ODI total at Lord's
Pakistan's 308/7 is now the seventh highest team total at Lord's. This was also Pakistan's maiden 300-plus score in ODIs at this venue. Sohail's 89 is now the second highest individual score by a Pakistani batsman at this venue.
How did the match pan out?
Pakistan got off to a strong start with Fakhar Zaman and Imam adding 81 for the first wicket. Tahir then hit back with two wickets as Pakistan slumped to 143/3. Babar and Sohail then repaired the innings, before the latter helped the side get past 300. In reply, SA were 91/1 at one stage, before Pakistan got back with key wickets at regular moments.
