Tim Paine brushes off rift allegations with David Warner
Australia current skipper Tim Paine has brushed off allegations that stated there is a rift between the side and David Warner. David Warner is currently serving a 12-month ban, handed to him by Cricket Australia, for his involvement in ball-tampering scandal against South Africa in March 2018. Paine suggested that Warner is a vital figure and that he will be welcomed back.
Paine criticizes journalist for remarks on Warner
A famous Australian cricket journalist had criticized Warner and wrote that how could the player fit in to the scheme of things under new coach Justin Langer when he is disliked by the team members. Paine stated that the comment was unfair to Warner and it was definitely off the mark. The skipper suggested that every cricketer loves playing alongside Warner.
All suspended players will be welcomed, claims Paine
The Aussie wicket-keeper stated that he has been touch with the trio of David Warner, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft and they will be welcomed into the team post their bans. He opined that he is sure of the fact that the trio will be prepared to come in sync with the new brand of cricket promised by coach Justin Langer.
Positive news for ball-tampering trio
Justin Langer had claimed that the tainted trio of Smith, Warner and Bancroft would be welcomed if they fight their way back. The words of Paine will further comfort them. This shows that the team is united which augurs well for Australia.
