Arsenal goal-keeper David Ospina to join Napoli
What's the story
Arsenal's 29 year old goal-keeper David Ospina has signed for the Italian club, Napoli, on a season-long loan.
Not being high on the list of Emery's preferred players, the Colombian international might get more game time at Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli.
Arsenal already have their regular goal-keeper Peter Cech. Further, they have also signed Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
Here's more.
Career
Ospina's career at Arsenal FC
David Ospina had arrived at Arsenal for £3 mn from Nice in 2014 and has started in 27 Premier League matches.
He made a total of 70 appearances for the club, winning two FA Cups during his stay.
His 2014-15 season, at the club, was the best when during league appearances against Manchester City and Aston Villa, he managed to keep clean sheets.
Napoli
Napoli were in need of a goal-keeper after Meret's injury
Napoli's newly signed goal-keeper Alex Meret had suffered an injury during training, which will keep him out of action for a while.
Signing Ospina was a desperate attempt to secure a goal-keeper before the Serie A kicks off.
Meret has, reportedly, suffered a fracture in his ulna during training when he collided with youngster Francesco Mezzoni.
