He smashed 113(133) in the first innings after India were down to 144/6. In the second innings, his 6/88 helped India bundle out Bangladesh for 234. Overall, this was the fourth time Ashwin recorded this double.

In Chennai, Ashwin went past former Indian captain, Polly Umrigar. The latter scored a century (172*) and took a fifer (5/124) in the 1962 Test against the West Indies in Port of Spain. Although the Caribbeans won the match, Umirgar led India's fightback after they were enforced a follow-on. Umrigar's gutsy second-innings ton made headlines. He attained this at 36 years and seven days.
Keith Miller: 35y 195d
Australia's legendary all-rounder Keith Miller helped them beat the West Indies in the 1955 Kingston Test. Batting first, the Windies managed 357, with Miller taking six wickets. Australia declared on 758/8 in response. Miller was one of Australia's five centurions. The hosts later perished for 319, handing Australia an innings win. Notably, Miller did this at the age of 35 years and 195 days.

Earlier this year, India claimed a mammoth 434-run Test win over England in Rajkot. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the architect of this win as he scored an innings-defining ton in the first innings (112). Jadeja later took five wickets, with England perishing for 122 while chasing 557. The Indian all-rounder attained this double at 35 years and 71 days.
