Serbian ace Novak Djokovic reached the Monte-Carlo Masters semi-finals after beating Alex de Minaur 7-5, 6-4. The former claimed a two-set victory against de Minaur to reach his first Monte-Carlo semi-final since 2015. Djokovic has now qualified for his 77th ATP Masters 1000 title semi-final, breaking a tie with Rafael Nadal. The former now has the most Masters 1000 semis appearances.

As per Opta, Djokovic (2007 to 2024) has become the player with the most consecutive seasons with at least one ATP Masters 1000 semi-final appearance, equalling Nadal's 18 (2005 to 2022).
Djokovic eyes his 41st Masters 1000 title
In November 2023, Djokovic clinched his 40th Masters 1000 trophy after winning in Paris. The Serb then secured his 400th Masters 1000 match-win at Indian Wells. Djokovic joined Nadal as the only two players with over 400 wins in this regard. The 98-time tour-level champion is still in the quest for his first trophy of the season, having lost at Indian Wells.

As mentioned, Djokovic broke Nadal's record for reaching the most Masters 1000 semi-finals. The Serb already has the most Masters 1000 finals appearances (58). Nadal trails Djokovic with 53 such appearances.
Djokovic eyes Triple Career Golden Masters
Djokovic beat Roman Safiullin in straight sets in the opening round at Monte-Carlo. The Serb then overcame Lorenzo Musetti to reach the quarter-finals. If Djokovic claims the title in Monte Carlo, he will become the first-ever player to complete a Triple Career Golden Masters. That means winning each of the nine Masters 1000 events at least three times.

By overcoming Musetti in the quarters, Djokovic became the second player to reach 10 Monte-Carlo quarter-finals in the Open Era. He joined Nadal, who has 16 such appearances. Djokovic overcame Musetti 7-5, 6-3.
