Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine brought up his maiden T20 century during the IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens. With over 540 wickets in 504 matches, Narine is the third-highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket. He is only behind Dwayne Bravo (625) and Rashid Khan (570) in terms of T20 wickets. Nairne, who has played for a host of franchises, has an economy rate of just over 6, the lowest among bowlers with a minimum of 300 wickets in T20s.
Maiden in Super Over
In 2014, Narine became the first-ever bowler to deliver a maiden in Super Over in T20s. This happened in the 2014 Caribbean Premier League encounter between Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel and Guyana Amazon Warriors. The match initially ended in a tie, with Warriors scoring 118/9 in response to T&T's 118/8. Narine helped Warriors defend 11 in the Super Over, bowling a maiden.
Double of 4,000 runs and 500 wickets
During the KKR-RR match (IPL 2024), Narine also completed 4,000 runs in T20 cricket. He became the second all-rounder after Bravo to accomplish the double of 4,000 runs and 500 wickets in T20 cricket. Notably, Narine also took two wickets after scoring a ton. He became only the third player to record a century and at least one wicket in an IPL match.

Narine is now the third player after Rohit Sharma and Shane Watson to record a hat-trick and a century in the IPL. As per ESPNcricinfo, Narine is the only player with 100+ wickets and a century in the cash-rich league. Additionally, Narine became the first player to score a century, scalp a wicket, and take a catch in an IPL match.

Narine is one of only two players with over 100 wickets in the CPL, the other being Bravo. As of now, the former has the most four-wicket hauls in IPL history (7). He also owns an IPL fifer.
