Dragalia Lost: Release details
Dragalia Lost is the first game, by Nintendo, which will come directly to mobiles without being available for other gaming platforms. On September 27, this game will be released in United States, Japan, Macau and Hong Kong. Other countries will get it later.
What's the game all about?
The fantasy game takes place in the Kingdom of Alberia. The protagonist plays a prince, who is seventh in line, to become the King. The family of the prince used to have a pact with dragons. When the 'Sacred Shard' protecting the Kingdom, from monsters, begins to lose its power, he sets out to save his people.
A gameplay to be excited about
The gameplay will need players to form and control a four-member team, from over 60 characters for their quest. All members have their individual powers and skill sets. These powers will have strengths and weaknesses against other powers, like water will be effective against fire. Players can battle real-time and on unlocking the maximum power, they can transform into dragons to finish their enemies.
Get by with a little help from your friends
Dragalia Lost also offers an online synchronized multiplayer game, where players can team up with three of their friends. This allows them to share the experience through the game's story, quests, raids, and adventures. Epic fantasy quests are always better with friends watching your back!
Upwards movement is the only movement
Players can gain power in the game in four major ways. One is through the grind of playing missions and leveling up. The other would be adding powerful weapons to one's arsenal. Adventures quests also give 'mana circles' using which players can improve their attributes to become more powerful. Lastly, players can participate in a kingdom building simulator, titled Halidom, for other character enhancements.
When money talks, everybody listens
Dragalia Lost is a free-to-play game but is built on a gacha system, where players spend in-game money for loot-box like things. The game will have two types of currency- Diamantium and Wyrmite. Diamantium is the primary in-game currency and will have to be purchased using real money. However, Wyrmite will be available to players through their gameplay, log in bonuses, and various events.
