Cricket's most embarrassing records
Would you believe if we told you that a cricket match was won with just one legal delivery? Sounds absurd, right? But it's true . In a rare case in the ongoing BCCI Women's Under-19 One-Day league and knockout tournament Nagaland's ladies were bowled out for 2, which Kerala chased with just a single delivery. Here are some other embarrassing records.
Nagaland ladies set unwanted record
In the seventeen overs of the Nagaland innings, the team managed a total of just two with 9 players dismissed on a duck. Out of the two runs they managed to score, one came off the bat of the opening batsman, the other was a wide delivery. Four of the 5 Kerala bowlers did not concede a single run.
Most ducks in ODI career
This is a record you would associate with the lower order batsman, but surprisingly it's owned by an opener who has more than 13,000 ODI runs to his name. Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuria has 34 ODI ducks in his glorious cricketing career, 10 of which are golden ducks. Not a record you would associate with a cricketing great.
Players run out most times in ODIs
Running yourself or your teammate out is considered a cardinal sin in cricket and no batsman would want to be involved in such blunders. But there are some who cannot get their feet moving between the stumps. You guessed it right, Inzamam-ul-Haq holds this unwanted record, but he also shares it with another Pakistani legend Wasim Akram. Both have been run out 38 times
Worst economy rate in ODIs
Limited overs cricket is all about not conceding runs. But there are some bowlers who are a constant headache for their captains with their habit of poor discipline and leaking runs. New Zealand's James Neesham happens to be his captain's nightmare as he leaks runs like no other. His economy of 6.51 is the worst in ODIs.
Biggest defeat in terms of runs in T20Is
Defeats are part of any sports, but nobody wants to lose by a huge margin. But sometimes it's just not your day. In the inaugural edition of ICC World T20 2007, Kenya were up against Sri Lanka and the rest is history. Sri Lankans hammered Kenya, posting 260 on the board and Vaas and Malinga ensured the victory margin was a massive 172 runs.
