India vs Bangladesh 5th T20I: Probable Playing XI
What's the story
India will be hoping to notch another victory in the ongoing 2018 Nidahas Trophy T20I tri-series when they face Bangladesh in 5th at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo.
India beat the Tigers by six wickets in the previous meeting and need a win to qualify for the final.
India's record against Bangladesh has been 100% in T20Is.
Here is our probable XI.
Openers
Dhawan and Rohit will continue to bat atop
Stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma will once again be opening the batting with Shikhar Dhawan.
The player has been out of form, but he needs just one good knock to get back the confidence.
Dhawan has been the in-form hero for India, although he had a rare failure in the last match against Sri Lanka.
We expect these two to have a real crack.
Middle-order
Rahul, Raina and Manish in the middle-order
KL Rahul was chosen ahead of Rishabh Pant in the previous match and he responded with a 17-ball 18.
This will be another vital outing for him.
Raina will come in at number 4 and despite looking aggressive and in good touch, he isn't getting the big scores.
India's T20I sensation Manish Pandey will act as a anchor-man in the middle-order.
Lower middle-order
Karthik, Shankar and Sundar set to continue
Dinesh Karthik showed his value by playing a sensible knock against the Lankans and getting the team past the line.
His experience, both as a keeper and batsman, is valuable.
Vijay Shankar has been a superb find for the Indian side and will continue to come at number 7 position.
Washington Sundar has impressed with his spin.
Tail
Chahal, Unadkat and Thakur finish the line-up
Chahal will once again serve as Sharma's main force in the bowling department.
The wrist spinner has been doing well and needs to continue to put in the hard work.
Jaydev Unadkat too has been in good touch and will be keen to use his variations.
The man of the moment is Shardul Thakur, who picked 4/27 in the last match.
