Are Barcelona discussing terms of Neymar's return?
If reports are to be believed, Barcelona's top-brass are discussing a possible return of their prodigal son, Neymar. The Paris Saint-Germain star had moved to the French capital as the most expensive player in the world in 2017. But he is, reportedly, not happy at PSG and wants to return to Catalonia. Barca president Josep Bartomeu has discussed the issue with the senior players.
Mundo Deportivo believes Neymar is keen on a return
According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Neymar is missing his old squad and his old team-mates, especially Leo Messi, with whom he always shared a great camaraderie. Mundo has also written that Neymar has a contract with the club where he can leave PSG for €220 million (the same amount they paid for him) at the end of the season, if he wants.
Neymar wants to leave because of Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe has been receiving widespread acclaim for his performances from all over the world, and it cannot be denied that he is living up to all the hype surrounding him. Neymar, reportedly believes that his importance in the club is being undermined by the limelight received by the teenager, and thus wants to switch ships. It remains to be seen if Barcelona agree.
Editor's opinion: Should Barcelona go for the move?
If someone wants to switch clubs back and forth just because someone else is playing well, the person does not deserve to be on a football pitch. Neymar had left Barcelona to get out of the shadow of Leo Messi and now wants to come back because there's a new kid on the block. Though unconfirmed, such childishness should not be given validation.
