    What's the story

Neymar has been one of the most talked about players at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018.

The Brazilian stalwart has been in the news for reasons he wouldn't have liked.

Neymar's theatrics, after a foul, has become the center of discussions with the player often seen playacting during the event in Russia.

Here is more on Neymar and his playacting.

    14 minutes

Time wasting a 'habit' of Neymar

Neymar has wasted valuable time during the four matches, he has featured in.

As per Swiss broadcaster RTS, the Paris Saint-Germain forward has gone on to waste almost 14 minutes, after falling to the ground and looking for a foul.

It isn't that he hasn't been fouled. But the player has made a meal out of the slightest of touches.

    Numbers

Stats reveal Neymar's theatrics on the field

During this World Cup, Neymar has gone to the ground for a total of 43 times.

He has been fouled on 23 occasions, in total.

On eight occasions, he has spent at least 20 seconds or more on the ground.

In the game against Mexico, Neymar was on the ground for more than two minutes.

When Samba Kings are winning, he wastes more time.

    Criticism

    Neymar has received criticism

Recently Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho stated that Neymar isn't the only player diving as there are many others as well.

Memes of his theatrics have become a regular recurrence on social media sites.

Pundits and former players have questioned his attitude.

To be precise, Neymar has wasted valuable 13 minutes 50 seconds.

However, Neymar said that he doesn't care about criticism.

    Information

Neymar setting a bad example for young footballers

Being one of the superstars, Neymar isn't quite setting the right example for budding footballers and youngsters alike. Playacting often gets a player his demands, but the officials are becoming more alert as well. It's time red cards are handed out for 'false' diving.
