#GamingBytes: Hitman 2 gets new competitive 1v1 'Ghost Mode'
Hitman 2 is the latest addition in the popular franchise that follows the stealthy assassin Agent 47. The last episodic game was praised for its realistic emphasis on stealth and the new game will improve upon it by adding multiplayer modes. Apart from the originally announced co-operative Sniper Assassination mode, a new Ghost Mode is being added to the game. Read about it here.
What is the 'Ghost Mode' all about?
The new 'Ghost Mode' will pit two players to see who assassinates five targets first, in a real-time competition. Since competitors exist in different realities, their actions will not directly affect the other's gameplay. More importantly, targets will be chosen at random to ensure that no two duels are the same. Racing against time, players have to exercise stealth to win.
Who is the stealthiest assassin of them all?
Both players will have access to the usual Hitman outfit and tools. If one player finishes an assassination, the competitor will have a limited time to react and finish a kill. However, if the kills are detected, they are not counted. On the other hand, once detected, players have to evade capture while competitors are free to progress as ghosts and finish the mission.
How to get your hands on Hitman 2?
For fans who cannot wait to play the new Ghost Mode, it will be first available in Hitman 2's Miami location on launch. New locations will be added post-release of the game. Hitman 2 will release on November 13 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
