Dravid should take responsibility for NCA blunders: BCCI official
What's the story
Ishant Sharma's recurrence of injury has once again put the Rahul Dravid-led National Cricket Academy (NCA) under the scanner.
The BCCI officials feel that Dravid should stand up and take responsibility for the blunders regarding injury management and rehabilitation.
Ishant was ruled out of the ongoing Christchurch Test after he complained of ankle pain while bowling in the nets.

Such decisions of administration will be criticised
"Dravid is one of the most respected players, but administration is objective and ruthless. While one would think it blasphemous to be critical of his coaching or mentoring decisions, the decisions relating to administration will definitely be scrutinised and criticised," the official stated.
Doubts
Better to hire a neutral person as physio
The official further raised questions over Dravid's backing to head physio Ashish Kaushik despite perpetual failures.
"Given the magnitude of backing that Dravid has lent to Kaushik, it is time for him to stand up and take responsibility for the blunders at the NCA," he said.
He added, "Maybe it would be better to hire an objective and neutral person as a physio."

Injury
Ishant was out for six weeks before getting fit
Ishant had suffered a Grade 3 tear on his right ankle while bowling against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy match in January.
Following his recovery, the senior pacer cleared the fitness test in February before being deemed fit for the Test series.
The 31-year-old was immediately drafted for the first Test wherein he took a five-for in the first innings.
Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah did not undergo fitness test after rehabilitation
A BCCI functionary also pointed out that Jasprit Bumrah didn't go through the fitness test since since he had undergone rehabilitation away from the academy for his prolonged stress fracture.
"I find it shocking that NCA did not conduct a fitness test of Bumrah and this raises the larger question as to whether fitness test is mandatory for someone returning from injury," he said.
