Yuvraj backs NCA, says it helped him to bounce back
The National Cricket Academy has been on the radar as premier players haven't been able to recover from injuries on time. With Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Wriddhiman Saha aggravating their injuries, the academy in Bengaluru has faced a lot of criticism. But, Yuvraj Singh has come out in support of the academy and stated his return from cancer was because of NCA.
Yuvi shares his experience
NCA under pressure after recent incidents
As per reports, the NCA has been under pressure after not being able to keep top pacers Shami and Bhuvi in shape. It is Bhuvi's recent injury that has raised questions. The pacer sat out of the first two ODIs against England, before coming back and deteriorating his back condition. He is set to miss the first three Tests against England.
Saha's injury blow raises big questions on NCA
Wriddhiman Saha, who suffered a thumb injury in the IPL 2018, is now facing a career threatening shoulder injury, and might need surgery. As per reports, the BCCI blamed the NCA physio for goofing his recovery. A BCCI official also added that the board wasn't informed about Saha's actual injury situation. He had hurt his shoulder in the South Africa series.
Time BCCI acts on NCA
It's time that the BCCI looks into this matter seriously and takes a decision on how to go about NCA and the physios. If replacements are needed, then so be it. Saha missing the England series is a big blow to Indian ambitions.
