Mumbai Indians (MI) cruised into the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 final, beating Gujarat Giants (GG) by 47 runs in the Eliminator at Brabourne Stadium.
The team scored a mammoth 213/4 in their quota of 20 overs, registering the highest-ever score in a WPL knockout fixture.
The Giants were bowled out for a mere 166. Nat Sciver-Brunt was the star performer for MI as she produced an all-round show.

Sciver-Brunt was sensational in the Eliminator, scoring 77 from 41 balls. She slammed 10 fours and two sixes (SR: 187.80).
Her 133-run partnership with Hayley Matthews (77) for the second wicket proved crucial in posting a challenging target for GG.
As per ESPNcricinfo, this was Sciver-Brunt's fifth fifty this season as she has raced to 493 runs from nine matches in WPL 2025 at 70.42 (SR: 156.50).
No other batter has managed 380 runs.

Most half-centuries in a season
Sciver-Brunt's tally of five fifties in WPL 2025 is the most by any batter in one season.
Meanwhile, three other batters have four fifty-plus scores in one edition of the WPL.
Earlier this season, she became the first player to hammer 400 runs in a WPL edition.
RCB's Ellyse Perry (372) is the only other batter with over 310 runs in WPL 2025.
Notably, Sciver-Brunt has been dismissed under 35 only once this year.

Nine wickets with the ball
The fast-bowling all-rounder has also taken nine wickets with the ball this season as her economy of 8 is quite impressive.
In the high-voltage final against Delhi Capitals, Sciver-Brunt can become the first all-rounder to accomplish the double of 300 runs and 10 wickets in a WPL season twice.
Last year, she recorded 332 runs and 10 wickets. Her teammate Matthews (17 wickets and 304 runs in 2025) is the only other player with this double.

Sciver-Brunt has now raced to 997 career WPL runs from 28 matches, surpassing Ellyse Perry, who has 972 runs from 25 matches.

Her tally of 29 wickets at an economy of 7.67 is the sixth-most for any bowler in the competition's history. She made her WPL debut in the inaugural season, in 2023.
